There are incredible prizes up for grabs each period:

• Period 1 Prize: A trip for four to an NHL® game in Calgary, including round-trip flights, two nights’ accommodation, and gift cards from NHLShop.ca, Safeway, plus a prepaid credit card.
• Period 2 Prize: Four tickets to an NHL® game in Vancouver, with flights, hotel stay, and the same awesome gift card bundle.
• Period 3 Prize: Four tickets to a 2026 NHL® season opener of your choice, complete with flights, hotel stay, and more gift cards to shop and dine in style.

Secondary Prizes
Nine secondary prizes will be awarded to the top scorers each period:

• 1st place: 150,000 Scene+ points
• 2nd place: 100,000 Scene+ points

The Safeway My NHL Family Contest is open to Canadian residents of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario.

You must have reached the age of majority in your province of residence and must be a member of the Scene Reward Program to participate.

How do I enter the 2025 Safeway My NHL Family Contest

There are three ways to participate in the Contest:

1. Download the Safeway mobile app.
2. Register or link your Scene+ account.
3. Each week, pick five NHL® teams you think will win their matchups.
4. Submit your picks between Friday 12:00 a.m. ET and Thursday 8:00 p.m. ET.
5. Each correct pick earns a grand prize entry.
6. Earn bonus entries by redeeming Scene+ exclusive offers through the app.

No purchase is needed to play—but shopping can earn you extra entries. Each week, players receive three exclusive Scene+ offers; redeeming all three gives up to nine bonus entries toward the grand prize draw.

This February and March enter online or use your Scene card when shopping at Safeway stores, and you could win free groceries for a year and NHL game tickets

• There was one grand prize to be won, which is a season’s worth of groceries valued at $10,000.00 (CAD). Prize will be awarded in 20x $500 (CAD) Sobeys Inc. gift cards. There are three secondary prizes to be won for customers: game tickets to the Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, and Edmonton Oilers. Each prize consists of four NHL® regular season tickets, the value of each Prize is $12,000.00 (CAD).
