About The CBC Kids Programming

Millions of Canadian children have grown up watching the educational and entertaining TV shows on CBC Kids.

From its beginnings, in 2003 as Kids’ CBC and then rebranded as CBC Kids in 2016, the Canadian children’s television saw a steady number of new series and shows. I think most children loved the cute characters like Barney and Friends, Franklin The Turtle and Curious George. Then there were the fun Magic School Bus adventures which made all of us crave to learn more about science: and school of all things! Of course, everyone has fond memories of the iconic Mr. Dressup or Fred Penner’s Place episodes.

While the theme music has changed, several hosts have come and gone, CBC Kids is going on producing great content for children of all ages and if you want to see some of the great giveaways for children, check out our contest section above.
